Do I need something besides Jesus to make me happy today? Am I ready for a test to see if this is true? Today, does it look like something else is the center of my life?

Father, I really want it to be true that for me to live is Christ and nothing else. I give You permission today to remind me when something tries to take Your place. Help me to back off and let You control every situation. Even if it looks like things are going bad. I trust You with all of it!
