Psalm 1

Happy is the one who does not listen to the ideas of the wicked. He does not stay with evil men. He does not sit down with people who make fun of wisdom.

He loves the Lord's teachings. He thinks carefully about those teachings day and night so that he can learn something new that he needs for his life.

He is strong, like a tree planted by a river. It brings fruit in season. Its leaves do not die. Everything he does will be blessed.

Evil people look like they are strong for a short time but are like dust that the wind blows away.

The wicked will not escape God's punishment. Sinners will not worship
God with good people.

This is because the Lord knows the situation of His people. But the wicked
will be destroyed.
