Revelation 13

1. Then I saw a beast [antichrist] coming up out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads. There was a crown on each horn. A name against God was written on each head.

The antichrist comes from the nations of people. He is a man who has the mind of an animal. He is the leader of the ten countries. The ten countries of Europe are bringing themselves together into one right now. The seven heads show us

Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and languages. Revelation 17:15

John said that the spirit of antichrist is already here with us. 1 John 4:3

2. This [antichrist] looked like a leopard, with feet like a bear’s feet. He had a mouth like a lion’s mouth. The dragon [Satan] gave the [antichrist] all of his power and his throne and great authority.

The antichrist is the little horn of Daniel 7:8.

3. One of the heads of the [antichrist] looked as if it had been wounded and killed. But this death wound was healed. The whole world was amazed and followed the [antichrist].

Many Bible teachers say that someone will try to kill the antichrist, and then he will look as if he was healed and people will call it a miracle. People will feel sorry for him and love him more because of this.

A sword shall be against his arm and against his right eye. His arm will be completely useless, and his right eye shall be totally blinded. Zechariah 11:17

4. People worshiped the dragon [Satan] because he had given his power to the [antichrist]. And they also worshiped the [antichrist]. They asked, “Who is as powerful as the [antichrist]? Who can make war against him?”

The people are thinking that they have finally found someone who can protect them from the anger of God.

5. The [antichrist] was allowed to say proud words and words against God. He was allowed to use his power for three and one-half him years.

This will be a time of hell on earth. All through history, evil men have said that the best way to control people is to secretly make big problems by turning people against each other, and then come and tell the people that you will save them.

6 – 7

He used his mouth to speak against God. He spoke against God’s name, against the place where God lives, and against all those who live in heaven.

The [antichrist] was given power to make war against God’s holy people and to defeat them. He was given power over every tribe, people, language, and nation.

We know that the church will not be on the earth, because Jesus said that the devil cannot defeat the church. Matthew 16:18

8. All who live on earth will worship the [antichrist]. These are all the people since the beginning of the world whose names are not written in the Lamb’s book of life. The Lamb is the One who was killed.

The people will worship the antichrist because it looks like he can save them from God’s anger and the things that have been happening on the earth.

9 – 10

If anyone has ears, he should listen: If anyone is to be a prisoner, then he will be a prisoner. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, then he will be killed with the sword. This means that God’s holy people must have patience and faith.

God is warning that there is no other way. The penalty for not following the antichrist is death. People must choose between Jesus or death.

11. Then I saw another beast [false prophet] coming up out of the land. He had two horns like a lamb, but he talked like a dragon.

Some teachers say that because this man comes from the land, then this may mean that he is from Israel.

12 – 13

This [false prophet] stands before the first beast and uses the same power that the [antichrist] has. He uses this power to make everyone living on earth worship the [antichrist]. The [antichrist] was the one that had the death wound that was healed.

The [false prophet] does great miracles. He even makes fire come down from heaven to earth while people are watching.

He is trying to show that he has the same power as the two witnesses so the people do not need to be afraid of what God can do. Today we have false teachers who say that they can do miracles.

When we find out later that this person is living in adultery or him some other evil, many Christians will say, “Nobody is perfect.” Men will need God’s discernment if they want to see the truth of these fake miracles.

14. This [false prophet] fools those who live on earth. He fools them by the miracles he has been given the power to do. He does these miracles to serve the [antichrist]. The [false prophet] ordered people to make an idol to honor the [antichrist]. This was the one that was wounded by the sword but did not die.

This second man is a false prophet, he does his work with the churches. Revelation 17 shows us that the churches of that day will be like a prostitute.

The devil will mock the Father, Son and Holy Spirit by showing that he is a kind of father and the antichrist is like Jesus and the false prophet is like the Holy Spirit.

Today we have magicians who can make you think you saw something happen but it was a trick of the eyes.

15. The [false prophet] was given power to give life to the idol of the [antichrist]. Then the idol could speak and order all who did not worship it to be killed.

This will be a statue with a demon living inside of it. This statute is the abomination of desolation. Matthew 24:15, Daniel 11:45, 2 Thessalonians 2:4

16. The [false prophet] also forced all people, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to have a mark on their right hand or on their forehead.

Nobody can say that they accidentally got this mark.

17. No one could buy or sell without this mark. This mark is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

People will not be able to buy food or medicine without this mark. The world is already saying that we should not use money. This way the banks can control your money and can close your account at any time.

18. Whoever has understanding can find the meaning of the number. This requires wisdom. This number is the number of a man. His number is 666.

The number is related to a name. Seven is God’s number which shows that everything in Him is complete. Six is the number of man. 666 shows that the fake trinity is the highest that a man can reach.

This number will be used during the tribulation, and then men will understand God’s warning.

If you take the first six letters of the Roman numerals and add them together. The total will be 666. This suggests that the old Kingdom of the Romans will return and try to finish what it started when Rome controlled the world. It does not seem to be an accident that the map of the country of Italy is in the shape of a boot which crushes everything underneath it.
